This year we are once again writing about our own work and the projects we support. But – in view of the still ongoing war involving Russia and Ukraine – we have removed all reference to the names of individuals, participants in our programmes, and partner organisations. This is to safeguard the people who are working with them.
We are currently operating in Russia, Ukraine, and Estonia (with refugees from Ukraine). We continue to support alternatives to violence, help for orphan children and young adults, and help for refugee children and their parents. We also conduct Quaker outreach, online and in print, in the Russian language. This work, of course, is for Russian speakers everywhere regardless of which country they live in.
Also in this newsletter is a section “Letter from Moscow”, which talks about what life is like for ordinary Russian people since the start of the war.
